“Depopulation”

by Pamela Satterwhite.. [Note: subsequent to the interview discussed below, Catherine Austin Fitts elaborates on her concern about "depopulation." See: Catherine Austin Fitts July 29, 2009 Blog (or its larger print reprint: On "Depopulation.")]

Catherine Austin Fitts:

…where you have a dramatic difference in power between the 1% at the top and the, say, 20% at the bottom…when you have that kind of power differential it means that essentially the solution to get to significantly less resource use is depopulation, and that’s where this thing [“the brand new trillion dollar carbon-trading commodities market”*] is going.

Dennis Bernstein:

Well, we’re a number of months into the so-called ‘bail-out’ and the Obama economic plan…how would you assess where the bail-out is going…? **

Hold on...wait a minute...did she say...depopulation?

…oh, right, yeah, of course, depopulation…Yawn

You ever feel like you’ve slipped down that rabbit-hole? I mean, was not that sentence out of the mouth of left economist Catherine Austin Fitts worthy of a follow-up?

…Do you ever get the feeling that the pitiful-power-drunk-few have decided that there’s nothing we won’t just suck up and take?

[For example, pumping particulates into the air we breathe in the name of solving global warming....See: The 4 Ruses – 3 ]

The blue is milky now.

We no longer have brilliant days.

The incessant buzz of the planes plowing the skies...spewing their sprays...

...as if to proclaim a contempt so complete it no longer hides beneath lies...

...its earth-hating, death-deifying ways.

Rather than devoting our energies to deconstructing their crimes, and wishin’ and hopin’ that the beating they give us will be lighter this time, don’t it make more sense to toss out their poisoned pot and brew us up something NEW?

…But that means “organizing,” …and fleshing out with all our relations in our physical environments the vision of the world we want, and then systematically working together to make it.

* "According to Robert Shapiro, former Undersecretary of Commerce in the Clinton administration: 'We are on the verge of creating a new trillion dollar market (through) financial assets that will be securitized, derivatized, and speculated by Wall Street like the mortgage-backed securities market' and all others that inflated bubbles that burst. If cap and trade becomes law, this market will explode so Wall Street is pressuring senators to pass it."

“That the new carbon trading market can and will be manipulated by the very same financial oligarchs and government bureaucrats who have brought the world to the brink of economic Armageddon is laid bare in a must-read article by Matt Taibbi in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. In ‘The Great Bubble Machine’ Taibbi meticulously documents how the amazingly well-connected Goldman Sachs has managed to manipulate and profit from every financial bubble since the Roaring Twenties and how they’re getting set to do it all over again with the creation of a carbon trading bubble…” James Corbett, “Banksters Love Cap-and-Trade,” The Corbett Report, July 2, 2009
